True Life: I'm a Hoarder

Packing has officially begun for the big move this weekend and I came to the realization that I'm a hoarder. I'm too much of a clean-freak to let it get to the level of finding a missing house pet flattened underneath a mound of old cereal boxes but the amount of stuff I've managed to collect over the past 3 years in this house is nothing short of amazing. I found myself wanting to pack up all the old electrical cords and chargers, even though I have no idea what they connect to, just in case I'll need it in the future. Rule of thumb that I will try to follow during the packing adventure: if we haven't used it in the past year then it's either going in the St. Vincent de Paul pile or the trash pile. Wish me luck.

Just when I thought moving was going smoothly, Chandler Utility decided to throw a wrench into everything. I scheduled for water to be turned on at the new house yesterday but not to be turned off at our current house until Friday to make sure we have some overlap. Well apparently they decided it wouldn't be a big deal to turn it off one day early. Problem is, we're not acutally moving any of our furniture nor will our gas be turned on at the new house until Friday. So unless City of Chandler gets their act together and fix their boo-boo, looks like we'll be having to use our backyard as a make-shift port-a-potty and shower using the hose.

Happy Friday everyone.
