Hip to the Hop

Didn't mean to fool you with the title but no Easter pics in this post. My bad. We had the perfect opportunity to get some when we took H to a huge outdoor playground at a local mall last weekend. The Easter bunny was there but Jorts was convinced our boy would be traumatized by the "creepy guy in a furry costume." So I guess no cute pics with the Easter Bunny this year. Maybe I'll sneak him off to get last minute ones taken this weekend. Jorts doesn't have to know.

There is, however, plenty of hipness mostly in the form of H sporting a backwards Suns hat. Notice how his daddy's hat is not as big on him as it should be. This could be due to 1 of 2 reasons: H's head is abnormally big for his age (though I hardly think a head circumference in the 90th percentile is abnormal for a child with Asian genes) or his dad's head is abnormally small for his size. Or maybe it's a combination of both. Regardless of the root cause, H looks pretty stinkin' cute.

H didn't want me to post the bottom left pic but I assurred him that no one looks at mommy's blog anyway. Of course I had to include a snapshot that couldn't contain H's excitement to be posing with his favorite parent.

Once in a while I make something for dinner that doesn't get to see the land of tupperware because all 4 servings get gobbled up that night. (This is all Jorts and never me, of course) Broiled tenderloin steaks with ginger-hoisin glaze was one of those delights. Here is the recipe if you want to give it a whirl.

Toodles!
